Walking down the strait street from the bus station we pass by all the closed down bars from the 50’s. Stopping by talking to a former bar owner reaching out from his balcony “I used to have this bar here below, it was very small… all the way here there was bars. Many girls in the bars. Then when the British left it all closed down one by one, now I’m to old for bars!” he said with a big smile
Further down we find the new part of straight street, stopping by for a great vongolle and home made pesto at Papannis.

Been there last week: we were basically starving after and we stumbled upon this place. Had the quail with goat’s cheese sauce and it was reallyyyy delicious. And so was the house wine
Not the best of service, but still loved it. It’s not a fussy place, and you know you are getting genuine food. Looking forward to going there again to taste all the other yummy stuff on the menu
Looks Yum. Nice find. Did you just bump into the place?
yeap, we’re supposed to go to da pippos but they had a private function… so we found this place instead
I’ve eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it. The service can be nondescript but it is a lovely little place and the food is usually very good.
Its worth a visit if you are in Valletta.
