I’ve been missing real Swedish candy for quite some time. The first ever store to sell only Swedish candy has now opened in Park Towers. “Bullens pilsnerkorv, ostbågar och riktigt plockgodis”

I had a lot of question regarding the review system and the toplist.
“I have just written a 5 star review but it’s not showing up on the toplist, why is that” The review system works with “average review score” this works on the following model: (first review score – 2) + new review scores = average review score. I.e. if you submit a review with a 5 star rating it will score as 3 stars until someone else have written a new review, his or hers review score will affect the total score.
This is to avoid having restaurant review with only one review and 5 stars. In other words, the most fair restaurant review site in Malta & Gozo.

August is here, the hottest month of the year. What better way to cool down than indulge in the finest ice-cream and seafood platter? I’ve made myself a nice plate of Bearing Sea crab legs, North Sea shrimps and some kind of shark
After that I would like to have a cup of press pot coffee and a plate of strawberry cheese cake ice-cream… mmm.

Chocolate tea? Yeap, that is the latest addition to Yogi Tea. Tastes like a blend of ginger bread and chocolate.
“The story of Yogi began in 1969 when a yoga instructor began teaching yoga classes in America. After every class, he shared the knowledge of Ayurveda and healthy living that he had mastered in India and would serve a specially spiced tea to his students, which they affectionately named “Yogi Tea.” The recipe contained five traditional Ayurvedic spices: cardamom seed, cinnamon bark, clove bud, ginger root and black pepper. When blended, these delicious spices leave you feeling vibrant and alive, while boosting overall well-being. It wasn’t long before several of the yogi’s students expressed interest in brewing their own “Yogi Tea,” intrigued by the complex flavor and inherent health benefits of this unique combination of spices.”

Press pot coffe, hard bread and today’s newspaper
Maltalunch is taking a summer holiday break in Sweden.

Globalair just gave me a nudge over Skype about their cooking course in Sicily. I thought it would be something to share with you.

Plant a tree for the environment. Mine and maltalunch’s contribution to “plant a tree” is a newly bought orange tree from the slopes of Etna in Sicily. It will do nice on our tiny balcony.

“Although the island was originally meant to comply with EU regulations for PM10 emissions by 2005, the established levels were not reached.
A Mepa spokesman said: “Malta has had difficulty in complying with the PM10 limit values and is in the process of preparing an air quality plan which has to demonstrate how conformity will be achieved by May 2011.”
